The brush density of coil brushes can be adjusted by varying the pitch between each coil. This allows for a wide range of densities, ranging from very dense close-wound coil brushes to progressively less dense more open wound coil brushes, depending on the desired pitch. This type of brush can be provided in various forms, including pre-mounted complete assemblies on cores with journals, directly wound onto shafts, wound on customer-supplied cores or shafts, or as replacement coils for in-house installation.

The strip brush number is determined based on the dimensions and filament used. By compressing or coiling the strip brushes in a specific direction and spacing width, we achieve an enhanced density that surpasses what conventional processes can achieve. This technique ensures that the brush maintains its density during handling. While open face loops without a shaft are suitable for smaller brushes or coils not subjected to significant forces, we highly recommend coiling the new brush on the shaft to preserve density.
